Get' em while they last Jun 03, 2011
By Dan 808 I'd say the quality of these aren't quite as good as other patches I've had. In fact I just bought 2 of them because my first one was getting a lot of loose threads. But ther're good enough for government work.
That being said, get them while they last. An article in Army Times last year stated that Army units serving under Marine commands will NOT be authorized to wear Marine patches, but will wear their parent Army patch instead. Those who have previously been authorized to wear Marine patches are Grandfathered in though. To my knowledge, members of 1st Brigade 1st Armored Division, and a small handful of other units who deployed to MNC-West during 2006 are the only soldiers who will ever be authorized to wear this patch. Who knows how much longer they'll be produced, so get them while you can.
